ABOUT ME
Hello fellow educators, My name is Martha Peralta. I have been in the Education field for over ten years. I started as a paraprofessional and then became a special education teacher. When I began I had special needs students in the 6th to 8th grade level. Then I moved to students with Autism in the K-5 levels. I have also worked with general education students in the K-2 levels. The first couple of years teaching, I remember not sleeping or having time for my family. I was very excited and also overwhelmed on how to teach developmentally disabled students. Having multiple grades and students that were at different levels of development. It was very challenging, but luckily I had a mentor, and an administration, which provided support and professional development. I know not all teachers are as fortunate and many are left to figure things out on their own. This I find to be a disservice to developmentally disabled students. They faced so many challenges navigating day to day life. We want to make learning engaging, accessible, and developmentally aligned. It is important to not push our students towards frustration. We as educators can build confidence and build on what we see our students are capable of achieving. I want to help educators move forward with confidence, provide tools to prevent burnt out, and help you find your creative side as an educator. All while delivering explicit instruction and giving students with disabilities access to the general education curriculum. I hope you find the tips, strategies, materials, tools, and coaching useful for your students. As any educator, I am always open to growth and feedback. Looking forward to helping make a difference in your lives and the lives of your students!

MY PROCESS
The first level of guidance, which I provide is free coaching articles and newsletters to subscribers. The second level is a free consultation about individual coaching sessions. Last, educators can benefit from signing on to as many or as little sessions as they would like. Once you are applying the strategies in your classroom, I can provide feedback. The goal is to give you the tools to deliver meaningful and effective instruction.
